Ok, so it wasn’t Attumen that we had the problems with on my rant post.

Still, it was nice to have a taste of success so soon after my crankiness.

I hadn’t planned on joining the run, since I have a 4 AM wakey-wakey to get ready for work. I have the great good fortune to work a solid 4 day/ 10 hour per work week, plus overtime, so I get to have three day weekends every weekend.

The trade off being that I do not get to stay up late. In fact, my son is usually the one still up when I’m saying, “Come on, brush those teeth, daddy needs some sleep.”

But what the hell, my man Jay sent me a tell asking if I wanted to go. I guess one of their warriors left the group after the gang wiped on a bad pull just before Midnight (the horsie, not the time).

It was remarkably stress free this time. We had a lack of DPS, I think it is a bad sign when yours truly is #5 on the damage meters… but we had a priest, a resto druid and two good pallies :)

I had main tanked up to Midnight, and at that point the group decided that the Warrior should main tank Attumen and I should take Midnight because of the Warriors’ ability to withstand spell damage.

I grabbed my horsie, pulled him to the corner and kept him tied up…. from what I saw, when Attumen appeared he gave a few problems to the Warrior, and broke free and killed the druid healer in a one shot Crit. Just as we got Midnight down and Attumen mounted him, the Warrior died. So I took over main tanking the duo, and even though we were short two on the final phase… well… you can see the final results on the screenshot.

A mail piece and a healer ring dropped, we D/E’d the mail cause we had no hunters… (which made me sad), but I enjoyed a pretty stress free boss fight. It took forever to finish… seriously, we need some more DPS in this crew.

Oh, and the screenshot makes it abundantly clear why I call myself the Big Bear Butt Blogger…. that is what I get to see during my boss fights. A big ol’ bear butt, that usually blocks any view of the enemy if I’m in the corner.

I have plans to make a shirt and post it for my own amusement someday… the front shows a picture of a snarling druid bear with claws out and says “What you face” and the back shows the picture of the bear butt, with a mobs’ head just peeking out over him… and the caption says “What I see…. every dang fight”.

Anyway, big day at work, I’ll be checking back in but otherwise have fun campers!
