I have read every book in the WOT series, and even modeled some of my 1st novel (Earth 2010) with his writing influence. I am stunned by this news.
Man...found out about this yeasterday evening and was shocked. I haven't had the time to look further, but if you go to Wotmania.com, I know that they had a link to the Future of the WoT series. Not sure what that entails.

Anyhow, I hope that his family is holding up under the circumstances. I know that I am a bit sad at the news.

It is a sad day for us all, I think. I got in this morning and saw a voice mail from my Alabama's friend about this very subject. I was very very sad.

I started to read WoT starting with book 4, I'm pretty sure but not too sure since I have read and re-read the series each time a new book comes out. I think the best way to remember RJ is to really just read and re-read his universe and introduce it to more people. I think RJ would smile a little each time when another earthling immerse themselves in the world that he shared with us.

It's pretty selfish of me but I hope Harriet, his wife, will be able to do his world a service and complete the 12th book and the story for RJ.
