I’m back! Where the heck did all this news come from?

I swear, by all that’s holy, I leave for ONE BLOODY WEEK and the dribs and drabs of minor BS that the Blues leak out becomes a TORRENT of awesomeness.
I came back determined to get two posts out this week. One on a breakdown of crafting professions, and what different benefits a druid gets from each. Kind of a guide for those of us that wonder, once we hit 70, what profession would do us the most good in terms of gear instead of cash. BOP items, etc.
The other post I want to do, that I started on, is about Addons for the casual druid or starter player. If you already use Omen, Itemrack, Perl and Titan and yadda yadda it’s not gonna be for you. But I imagine that many players may know about Addons, but haven’t really gotten too into it and I hope to help them out.
But let’s get to that later… am I the only one this week looking at the patch 2.3 wave of info that’s coming out and asking, WTF?!?!
You can find a list of compiled 2.3 patch hints from the blues here, courtesy of the gods of MMO Champion, but let me hit what, for me personally, are the high points….
Engineering -
Flying Mounts added for Engineers. Regular and Epic versions. Will not require any Nether Vortex. (Source)
New Field Repair Bot will repair, buy and sell like a normal repair bot, but it will also sell all reagents, level 65 arrows and bullets, poison reagents, few types of vials, up to 2 super mana/healing potions, and maybe some scrolls. These are all for sale, with no rep discount, because he’s a robot. (Source)
New Plans - Field Repair Bot: Dropped by Gan’arg Analyzers in Blade’s Edge Mountains. (Source)
Druids
Many new macro inputs as well as druid ‘cancelform’ becoming an instant like ‘dismount’. (Source)
Cure Poison and Abolish Poison may now be cast in Tree of Life form (Source)
Remove Curse may now be cast in Moonkin form (Source)
Rebirth cooldown reduced to 20 minutes (Source)
Intensity increased to 10/20/30% mana regeneration. (Source)
Factions
You can buy now buy Super Mana and Health Potions from Ogri’la quartermaster. They’re usable everywhere and costs 50 Apexis Shard.
New Flying Mount added. Requires 2,000g and Exalted with Cenarion Expedition. (280% Speed) (Source)
Level 20-60 Quest EXP has been increased, while EXP to Level has been decreased (Source)
Heroic Badges drop from Zul’aman and Karazhan bosses.
The amount of items available from the Heroic Badges vendor has been considerably increased.
New 10-Man Raid - Zul’Aman!
Mobs inside Sethekk Halls will now continue to award Lower City reputation all the way into Exalted. Previously they stopped giving reputation in non-heroic mode just before players hit revered. (I love this one as my lazy ass still doesn’t have the heroic key for Lower City)
Season 1 arena gear will be available from honor points vendor when the season 3 starts.
Is that crazy? Is that a whopper of info? Yes! And yet, that is only the high points of patch 2.3 info that has me going nuts…. honestly, go follow the link to MMO-Champion and see the full list, it’s just bonkers…
I mean, for me, the first thing I see is I ought to save my honor points now, because I’d rather have the Arena 1 shoulders than the regular epic shoulders from PvP… depending on honor cost, of course. Second, hey, Karazhan bosses will drop Badges of Justice? Well hallelujah! And there will be not one but two new flying mounts, for those of us (like me) that have engineers? Heck, I’ve got two engineers, both my druid and hunter. Plus the Cenarion epic flying mount makes three!
And finally…. a Field Repair Bot that is well worth taking to end game runs…. that has a pattern that drops from a world mob. So it can be farmed. And it will. Oh yes, it will.
What, can’t a guy leave his computer for one bloody week?
Update… word on the street is that patch 2.3 will hit the public test realm server tomorrow, as Brewfest gets it’s push. (I can’t wait to go questing for a new pet). And when a patch hits the PTR, it is usually accompanied with the patch notes listing all this stuff ‘officially’. As we all know, however, it’s the ‘unofficial’ little tweaks and changes Blizz makes that brings the spice of life…. has anyone else begun enjoying the Auction House mail changes? I know getting spam from Blizz telling me I can expect some cash in an hour for each of my auctions that sells is just…. SUCH an improvement. Dumbasses.

I am ecstatic about seeing the changes made in patch 2.3. I’m nowhere near getting an epic mount, but Heroic Badges in Kara and ZA? Like you said, hallelujah! lol

Welcom back!!
I like your post ideas…in fact, I’m in the middle of one about BoP items and how Alchemy has drawn the short stick on BoPs. I was thinking about assessing the BoPs for druids, but I’ll leave that to you and be lazy.
I am almost done with a complete list of all BoP items categorized by profession, so feel free to be lazy and pull from my lists.

Now if they could work on us having something to craft that other players actually wanted that would be nice.
When did you last see LF engineer?

@ferocious nibbler… thank you kindly. And I am now hard at work taking your massive awesome list and reworking it to suit my needs, since it was already in html with links… thank you thank you thank you…
@daakster…. I think the main reason you don’t see LF Engineer is that our items, such that do not require and engineering skill to use, can be sold in AH. The biggest items that we ahve in demand are our epic gun (which is a tanking gun, damn them… ) and our scopes.
By the way, awesome it was to see you in the guild now… and to hear that mark and Ina are in it as well. Awesomeness indeed.

The delay the AH has now is actually an improvement.. at least if it does do what it was implented for: make gold selling a bit harder.
I’m willing to wait that extra hour if it means we get less goldsellers.. while some of those sellers are “harmless” farmers, others hack accounts to aquire a part of their gold and i don’t ever want to experience that again.
