Well, I’ve done it. I have officially begun the quest for a crafter who can make me the [Belt of Natural Power].

I gathered together the mats I could get for [Pattern: Belt of Natural Power]… I carefully saved up the minimum gold I think it will take (2000g… ouch!) for two Nether Vortexes and a combine… and now I have to try and find someone on my server that not only knows the recipe, but also has the two Nether Vortex… and is willing to craft it for a non-guildie.

Since I do not know anyone that is raiding SSC/The Eye, this means I have only one true choice.

I have to venture into the hell that is the WoW Kael’thas Realm Forums.

What is worse, I now have to return frequently to see if I’ve had any replies.

Pray for me.

Out of curiosity… how many of my fellow feral Druids out there think that the Belt of Natural Power is worth the effort and money it takes?

With the opening of all Heroics to Honored rep on Tuesday, it could be argued that this is a lot of effort when the [Tree-Mender’s Belt] could be mine from Ramparts this week for the cost of having fun in heroics and earning Badges of Justice at the same time.

I know I’ve been farming ore to make money to save for this thing for two weeks, plus farming all the mats.

How many of you feel that you’d do the same if you could find someone to make it, or do you have a different passion you’re saving for right now?

EDIT: In response to the comments below, I thought I’d add a link to the (now live, but mouseover links still dead) Belt people are talking about, the [Waistguard of the Great Beast], available for 60 Badges of Justice.

The funny thing is, I still think the Belt of Natural Power is well worth the money, since I already ahve it together. On the other hand, there is no question that the Waistguard is a close second, as far as stuff I can get my hands on. I figure I’m going to be running heroics in Ramparts and Blood Furnace anyway,a nd if I get Tree Mender, then thats great, until I have enough Badges for the Waistguard.

Frankly, it’s down the line on my Badge shopping list. For myself, my first priority is the new [Idol of Terror] for 20 Badges, followed by [Slikk’s Cloak of Placation] for 35 Badges, and ending with [Ring of Unyielding Force] for 25 Badges. After those are bought, I’ll turn my attention to what should come next.

Goals that’ll keep me busy for at least a month, the way I take my sweet time. :)

Still, I bet I have the Waistguard before I ever see the Natural Power. Thank you, everyone, for setting me straight!

Oh yes, and I did manage to complete my plans for regemming/enchanting my tanking gear this weekend. And I bought a [Gut Ripper] and had Jayboi drop a +20 Agility enchant on it as a level 40 celebration gift for Cassie/Mrs BBB (grats on your new Chestnut Horsie, and Black Stallion, dear). So I think I dropped 800g on goofy stuff and then went back up 800g through massive farming this weekend. But it’s all back to normal now. :)
