Free rep, and free non-combat pets. Just have some fun, see the sights, and enjoy deliberating over what you like.. Eggbert? Itty bitty elephants?

These only come once a year… and I know I like my elephant very much. So what are you waiting for?

You can do the Azeroth chain of orphan quests at level 10, and the Outland chain of orphan quests at level 60, and the whole Outland chain grants you 1660 Lower City rep.

The contest!

In the spirit of The Scout Report, I’d like to challenge my wonderful, light hearted readers to go out there with your orphan and take a screenshot of you and your orphan in… imaginative locations. No guidance from me, do your best to come up with something truly fun.

Email me your best screenie (and no floods of shots, please, pick the one you like best) to bigbearbuttedone AT yahoo DOT com and next Friday Cassieann and I will pick the ones we like the best.

Along with displaying the ones we like the most, Cassieann and I will decide which is the overall winner, and the artful dodger will get a 100% Feral Druid button and bragging rights.

The bragging rights might be worth more, but hey… we do what we can to have fun. :)

It occurs to me that not EVERYONE in the known universe may have seen a certain…. webcomic.

This blog is, after all, about Feral Druids. I feel I have a certain duty to my public.

(Bellwether is already screaming “Noooooo!!!!!!” I can hear it!)

Yep, there is a comic out there about Feral Druids.

It’s the one the adult Feral Druids all know about, but no one admits to having seen.

It was posted on the World of Raids website. It features, for the geeky among you, a certain CSI/Judge Dredd theme….

It should be safe for work. Your howls of outrage, laughter, or disgust may not be.

I present to you the “most twisted Feral Druid webcomic of all time that is still somehow appropriate for most audiences”.

You can thank me later.

Poll results are in for special features, and Storytime won out with 61.7% of the vote.

Coming in second is a strong vote for “Shut the hell up with the other crap and just post, stupid.”

Hmmm….

Well, you will in time come to regret that decision, I’m sure.

This will actually be an interesting challenge. I mean, on the one hand, I have packed a lot of crazy into a fairly short lifespan. On the other hand, the number of crazy things I’ve seen or done pretty much stopped dead when I got married and stopped associating with crazy people and living in crazy places.

Now Cassieann is the one living with crazy people.

Point is, there is an upper limit on how many stories there can be. And I generally have to be in the mood for writing a long rambling story. You know, instead of a long rambling post.

And having said that, I’ve thought of no less than 5 different things that would make a good story tomorrow.

Without trying.

It occurs to me that a good rule of thumb in life would be, “If Bear thinks it’s a good idea, back away slowly until out of the area of effect, then turn and run like hell.”

No, not from me.

Looking For Group today has showed how they can step up to the stage and bring us the funny.

I ain’t gonna blow the surprise punchline from that comic, but let me say that I think it takes genius to go out into the game, take one of the tiredest, most overdone sad-ass concepts from the forums, and just seize it and make it fresh, new, and funny.

Yes, Youtube used the same concept as the foundation for their April Fool’s gag, but this just takes it to the next level.

 Way to go, Blind Ferret.
