Quiet for you, anyway.

This week, I am tasked with being the co-lead for a Kaizen Black Belt event at my company.

What does that mean?

It means day-long meetings talking about how to improve things, away from such distractions as phones and computers. And late nights to prove we are committed to change.

At least the lunches are catered.

I expect, once things get kicked off this morning, to disappear from the blogosphere until Friday.

I’m sure I’ll be around, but what with one thing or another, posts will be short and at wierd times.

Have fun folks!

P.S. Thank you for the overwhelming siggestions about Paladins… from what I’ve read, awesome advice. Thanks guys!

Rats has a good point… that’s definitely a career path I’d want to be on, even if you do have to fight your boss for a promotion.

Hey BBB, what part of Kaizen do you have to deal with? I’m working on some production 5S and kanban/kaizen myself. Just curious.

So I’m assuming you work for 3M as well?

I’m a feral druid who’s real time job is based at the 3M Facility in Cottage Grove, MN.

    :)

I don’t work for 3m but we do the same Kaizen stuff and 5S projects as well. I don’t think that there is an original idea in corporate America since both of those things as well as Lean manufacturing process have been stolen from Japan manufacturing. Anyway, good luck and get them to spring for dinner as well if your there late like we always were.
