Toughness
This is a passive trait, exclusive to characters that train Mining, and it provides a stamina bonus that scales with Mining levels.
Rank 1: +3 Stamina (requires Mining level 75)
Rank 2: +5 Stamina (requires Mining level 150)
Rank 3: +7 Stamina (requires Mining level 225)
Rank 4: +10 Stamina (requires Mining level 300)
Rank 5: +30 Stamina (requires Mining level 375)
Rank 6: +60 Stamina (requires Mining level 450)

Lifeblood Rank 6
Instant 3 min cooldown

Uses your skill in Herbalism to absorb energy and nutrients from the earth, healing you for 3600 (increased by maximum health) over 5 sec. Can be used while stealthed or invisible.

You know, I have an alternate to taking the herbalism thing for your pretty flower animation (I'm Bear, btw ^^)...

I recently changed from Alchemy to Leatherworking (And too the gathering to go with them, daily quests are like growing a gold-tree but even then there are so many things to buy!). I might have regretted the loss of the heal or stamina but here's my look on it:

Now I have more mangle critting power to fuel my threat, AND I have my uber Drums of Restoration that give EVERYONE around me 600 health (X5=3000 health) on it's own cooldown timer every 2 minutes if I need it.

You wanna talk about keeping a party going for that little bit more? I've got ya covered. Between those, the Leader of the Pack Aura, my handy dandy Brewmaiden in tricky fights, etc... I have a million and one ways to heal myself and my party so we can ALL enjoy the end of a good fight!

So my tank gets critt and my pally healer gets + stamina. Crappy outcome from choosing proffesions.

Anyway, does any of you fine people think Skin/LW is quite useless in post kara raids?

I hope Wotlk brings something else than just Drums and leg armors. If it doesn't, i'm gonna deffinetly change proffesions

Cheers,

I don't know... I'm currently digging the extra crit from skinning, but I'm not 70 yet on my druid... and I may have to relevel herbalism for future inscrption growth... The new bonuses for professions are nice, espcally mixology.

You know if there are any similar bonuses to Engeneering in Wrath planned, BBB? (not that hogs wouldn't be enough of a bonus).

You know, I was really wondering how that priestess fight would make it into a blog post but I was sure that it would. Even funnier if you are on vent listening the bear roar "you ICEBLOCKED!!??? AHHHHAAAA I have you now!!"

I haven't used it yet, but it is probably pretty sweet in cat form, to heal up without changing forms.

There's plenty of fights that need some healing, and it might save your casters some trouble.

And you gotta mention our new "prowl" macro, if you're a Nightelf!

For a tank, I would have thought just the opposite. An extra 300 max health is basically +300 healing to every spell that overheals you. To match Lifeblood's healing output, that means a tank only needs to be overhealed once every 40 seconds. If a tank is overhealed any more often than that, then Mining grants more "healing" than Herbalism. But I didn't think about the concentrated nature of the Lifeblood healing. Yay for flowers!

Yeah love the lifeblood while tanking, and I'll stick with it for raiding, over the stamina buff I think. More than once recently, its been an emergency lifesaver while tanking t6; gives the healers more slack space, and combined with fren regen & survival instincts, comes a pretty full heal every 3 minues. Also its more fun (imo) than pure passive stamina increase, because its an active choice of when to use it...

...and you get all those pretty flowers :)

I was happy when I heard that the gathering profs were getting cool buffs to your character. I'm LW/Skin (mainly for the drums and nice 3-piece epic starter set) and I was happy with the crit buff. I originally was Resto and raiding as such for a long time. I've just recently gone back to feral to get ready to level again. So I was sort of sad that I couldn't get that nice HoT. But I'm no where near the min/maxer to relevel herbing just to get that heal.
