It’s cold, there is snow on the ground, WoW was down all the way to bedtime last night, and the forecast for tonight is drizzling rain / snow.
I’m sure everyone local is in JUST the right mood for a pre-release meet and greet, right?
If you’re planning on coming out to say “Hi”, my plan is to be at the Buffalo Wild Wings at 9:30 PM for a beer and some wings, and to meet folks in a nice relaxed setting…
I’ll be there until about 10:30 PM or so, and then I’ll be wandering across the street to the Gamestop right next to the Circuit City, there to be standing awaiting, fol-de-rol and hey-diddle-diddle.
I’ll be dressed in a “Big Bear Butt” shirt, a black jacket covered in Marine Corps unit patches, and jeans. In the (highly) unlikely chance someone else is wearing a black satin jacket covered in hand-stitched Marine Corps unit patches and a Big Bear butt shirt, I’ll be the one drinking Guinness.
If there are two of us doing all three… well, we’ll probably be at the same table anyway at that point, so that should make your choice easy.
I’ll have 30 buttons to hand out, with two different designs, one with website address and one without. First come, first served… and since BWW is a restaurant and not just a bar, even if you are underage don’t hesitate to duck in for your button!
Oh, and I made buttons without website address first, since you all already know where the heck you see me… but I was prevailed upon to have a second version with website, to hand out for WoW Insider readers that may not know about the blog. That’s all. Same picture.

ooOOOooo…Guiness ftw!! I got the phone call inviting me to the release party here. I started giggling when they said to dress up as my favorite WoW character for a contest. Now I admit to being a geek, but showing up in a bear suit in Smalltown, South Dafreakinflatkota would probably kill my hubby with embarrassment! I am tempted to show up to see if anyone else does, but I would really hate being the oldest one there, and there is an phenomenal chance of that! Enjoy the evening, beer, and wings :)

It would’ve been cool to meet up given I’m working in the states at the moment, but the 1200 miles from Poughkeepsie means that I probably won’t be able to make it :( Even if some others in my guild are actively trying to encourage it. Have a great night.

I was planning on running to the Best Buy in Oakdale to pick up my copy of Wrath, but if your Gamestop has copies available for those of us too negligent to pre-order I think I’d be convinced to make my way up to Maplewood. Always enjoyed reading your posts, especially when they get off topic!

OKay, I JUST called the Gamestop at 4:40 PM Central time, and was told they ARE still accepting pre-orders for tonight. How long that lasts, depends entirely on how many copies that are unspoken for that they have left.
So if you are only wanting to make sure a copy will be reserved for you, call the store at 651-779-9669!

This is my first visit to the bbb. I totally wish I had know about it yesterday. I would have shifted some stuff around to be there! Warcrafters meeting in person and talking about it?! Hell yeah!
