After a decade of SC1, I just now find out that it’s a Star Wars rip.

Starcraft 2? Oh I have it on pre-order and will be going to the launch party tonight where they start handing them out at midnight. Then I will be going home and suffice it to say my state at the office tomorrow will be less than ideal. Go from the getting my copy to home, put it aside and bed? I think NOT!

I’m not sure I’ll buy the book… but you made me likely to pick it up at a library sometime. I’ve liked Raynor since that first mission, and I’m all for some more of his story.

I’ll be getting it Wednesday. (Don’t get paid until then, but already reserved it.)

I’m normally more a fan of the Company of Heroes style RTS myself. But, I suck at RTS games, and even with the matchmaking in CoH you had to deal with smurfs pretty much every game.

So, I’m looking forward to being able to play with people who are in my league at least part of the time with SC2. I’m sure I’ll get my butt kicked a lot anyway, but with the new Battle.net I’ll at least have a hope of playing people around my skill level, and not always face the better players just looking for someone who they can stomp on.

And, of course, there’s the single-player campaign. I’m very much looking forward to that.

I’m torn, I love the story of SC..but I over the years I have lost my love of resource gathering type RTS’. I’ve found that I prefer the smaller focus on a tactical level that games like CoH and the original DoW gave me.

Same. I will be in the Gamestore as soon as i get away from my work on Tuesday! Hope they made a nice Campaign again like it was in SC1.
