just wanted to say thank you for the info. I knew about the stately lion mount for the allies, just didn’t realize that the scorpion mount was the horde version. Drats, they always get cool mounts, but maybe thats to make up because they got the cooties. :P

If you talk to a faction capital guard, and ask them where the Guild Master is, they will direct you to the location where you can find the Guild Vendor.

All items that are unlocked through Guild Reputation and Guild Leveling can be purchased from the Guild Vendor. This includes mounts, profession recipes, non-combat pets and Heirloom cloaks and helms.

The Golden Lion is a ground-only mount that is specific to the Alliance guilds, and the Kor’kron Annihilator is faction specific to Horde guilds.

To purchase either, your guild must have leveled all the way to the current max, 25, AND the purchasing character must be Exalted with your guild.

To help in becoming exalted, the Guild Vendor also sells Tabards that, when worn, increase the reputation gains you get with your guild for doing instances and quests by a certain percentage. There is a tabard that gives you 100% increased rep gains, and also a lower percentage one.

There are even banners you can buy that, when planted, temporarily boost guild rep gains for an area. They are PERFECT if you are raiding with your guild, and are on a boss fight. By wearing a tabard and planting a banner during the boss fight, you seriously boost the rep gain per boss kill for everyone.

Indeed, I’d never thought about the Guild Mount. Sadly, I must admit the scorpion looks way cooler than the lion.

I also have a particular fondness of bacon. Great post BBB. Thanks for the info on the BOA mount. I didn’t even think of such a thing for my little baby hordie tauren (not-so-baby anymore, he’s level 55 now.) I think I’ll do that as soon as I can get back on!

I know all about playing the game how you want to play it and not necessarily how it’s intended. leveled another paladin, but only to 70 this time, and have been twinking it up like it’s oging out of style! Haven’t had so much fun in AGES!

A side note, yes they get a parachute, but well, they get a parachute. Just like the rest of the game, it’s about playing how you want. Somebody wants a ride? fly them all the way up, dismount, tell them to enjoy the next 5 min Kthxbye! You’re in outland? make them parachute slowly off a cliff into the twisting nether. In azeroth? fly them out into fatigue waters. You can be delightfully sadistic if you want to, just gotta be a little creative :D
