That’s incredible. My parents divorced right around the same age for me too. I think I was about 8 years old. Only, I was definitely too naive to understand what was happening between the two of them. While my dad didn’t own a firearm he was a master at playing relationship judo. It took me awhile later (about 12 or 13) to catch onto his thinly veiled attacks at my mom but I eventually saw them for what they are. As a result, he and I haven’t spoken much throughout my life. I can also relate to the description of the child being a “prize” in a divorce, rather than as a participant. Very good post BBB.

Wow… well, at least one advantage of having a blog is that anything sad/bad that happens to you is great material… a well writen story and definately compelling to read.

As a chance to break the serious mood a little though, I think there needs to be a T-shirt added to your store that says, “I made it through the Bearwall” or “I conqured the bear wall and all I got was this lousy t-shirt”…

The story has a very sad ending, and was the single biggest cause of my losing the respect I had once had for my father. This has been a pretty long working day, and going into it would just be a depressing story. Just, if your have pets, take the time to
show them you love them, for me, and have a good weekend.

Bear,
I have read your blog for a long time, but have never posted. Basically, you taught me to bear tank in WOW. For that I thank you. I’m no longer playing but still read me a little bearwall now and then. This post was a fantastic read….not much into fantasy reading anymore, but I swear I would buy a novel if you wrote satire similar to this post….fiction or non. You should be writing for $ Sir. I truly believe that. I hope you make it big one day Bear.
