This post is so meta! Although I do enjoy writing about writing :) And I also have those Amazing Shower Thoughts, to the extent that I’ve wondered about putting pen and paper and a handtowel nearby, or maybe a tape recorder. Just something!

Silent fan here. It’s your voice that counts, that’s what keeps me coming back, anyway.

Oh, Bear! This was a wonderful post! I, too, agree that the best ideas come to us at the most inopportune times, and even when the Muse strikes us while we write, the words never quite come out as intended. To provoke in our readers as close to that feeling the words aroused in us is all we can hope for.

Reading this reminded me of a wonderful quote by Stephen King:

“The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them — words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they’re brought out.”
