I am very noobish in pet battle things. reading this gives me hope. I can learn. Plus you gave me some great ideas that I haven’t thought of… Like leveling different classes of pets for battling different classes of pets… Man what a thought. I was just getting slaughtered and hoping my luck would change.

If things are rare spawns, I try to just grab what I can, whatever quality it is, and leave the rest for someone else.

Your vote has been tallied for the pet guess, but I won’t spoil the answer just yet. Totally agree that Fluxfire is so insanely powerful at the moment, though.

I’m a bit worried that the show would be boring in large doses because it’s just one voice, but maybe I’ll try a couple longer-form shows and see how it goes. I think if I focus on keeping my voice animated and add a few more sound clips from the pets to break it up a bit, it could work. I appreciate the vote of confidence!

I’ll definitely be doing the show for awhile, though. I’m excited to talk about teams and strategies, and have guests on to talk about their favorite lineups :) Now that you’re doing pets I’ll definitely be hitting you up for that in the future!

I echo everyone else on the flayers…can’t believe you had such luck in finding so many up at once. Luckily, I obtained my rare a while back, but I’ve been trying to get one on my second account and there are never any up. Nor can I find any wisps up. I have an uncommon, but would love a rare.

I’ve thought about trying to write up a post about leveling pets from 1-25 from scratch, but I keep getting sidetracked. Plus, I have a nagging thought in the back of my head that no matter how I do it won’t be the most efficient way.

Since you like the “self healing” types of pets you should try a Corefire Imp and/or an Emperor Crab (or Spirebound Crab). They are awesome against critters. My favorite place to level pets (aside from master tamers) is up at the Veiled Stair. Nothing but critters up there to battle. Even the 2nd and 3rd pets are critters. I rip through them with the Corefire Imp and his “rush” ability. Also, the Emperor Crab makes minced meat out of them. One round to shell shield, one round to HoT heal and then 1-2 rounds to kill each opponent…can go to 3 rounds if I’m fighting a level 25 rare. The xp isn’t as good as it is against the master tamers, but it’s close to a Stable Master and you always know what opponents you’ll be facing.

Secondly, while it’s a bit too much to copy/paste here, if you look on the Pet Battle forums there’s a thread titled “Lets share how to 2v3 Pandaren Trainers.” which is handy for figuring out what pets to use to let you put a lowbie in for that big xp boost.
