The Child’s Play charity event is still going strong, but my little Raffle is now officially over.
We have selected 6 winners by the highly scientific process of writing each donator’s name on a slip of paper, putting the slips in the box that my Richard statue came in, and having Alex pick them out one at a time.
Campaign officials thought there might have been some ballots that weren’t counted, but a request for a recount was firmly rebuffed, and then the requester was shot.
And then shot again.
We had many last minute entries, and thank you all very, very much.
We also had one last minute addition to the pile o’ prizes, Runycat of Unbearably Hot donated a very nice handcrafted bracelet for one lucky winner. I don’t have a picture of the actual item in question, of course, but from these pictures of her previous work, it’s sure to be quite lovely.
That’s simply gorgeous.
Yeah, yeah, I know. That’s awesome and all, but you want to know who won.
Well, you are ALL winners in my book!
Ouch! Stop! Hey!
Okay, who threw the pineapple? Hmm, good eating off one of those.
Seriously though, yes, we have 6 winners chosen by random drawing. The first winner selected has been emailed, and offered her choice of the first prize. Once we know which prize she has chosen, I can email lucky number two, and so on.
However, the rest of you who were kind enough to donate are not walking away empty handed!
No, each of you can cherish the warm knowledge that you have helped bring some light…
Okay, enough with the pineapples!
Okay, okay, I’ll stop joking around.
Seriously, I am very grateful for your donations and your taking part in my little Raffle, and what I’m going to do is mail each and every one of you that donated to Child’s Play and participated in the Raffle a Big Bear Butt button from my recent Meet the Bear event.
It’s not as awesome as a Petopia calendar or a quilt or a bracelet, but it’s better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick.
Well… I HOPE it’s better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick.
I want to thank all of you again for taking part, for your generosity, and your spirit of giving in these tough times. With so many worthy causes to choose from, it’s not really that important what you give, or to who, but simply that you gave of your heart.
Thank you. Thank all of you, and God bless you.
Oh, and that list of winning names?
- Ashley M.
- John/Ursinus of Arygos
- DJLushious (lol, I love these email names)
- Paul and Kelly
- Drew H.
That’s right, them’s the winners, and congratulations, each and every one of you!
Now, everyone go annoy Ashley until she responds to my email and tells me what she wants. 🙂
