LF 1 More; Japanese/English Translator in Twin Cities area

Do you live in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area?

Do you speak fluent English AND Japanese?

Are you available for, and have the discipline to be a paid translator for a 1 week gig the first week of December 2009 with the potential for more assignments in the future?

If so, then please contact me, John Patricelli, via my normal email contact info at tigerlordgm AT yahoo DOT com.

I have a team of Engineers flying in from Japan, who are going to be working very closely with my maintenance team for a one week period.

I must organize and coordinate translation services to meet them at the plane and help them get settled into their hotel, meet and work with them from start to finish at our plant for three days, and then wrap up the week by seeing them off at the airport on Friday. The three days in plant providing full translation services will require knowledge of technological terms, and may extend past 8 hours each day.

If this sounds like something that you would like to do, please let me know.

I have used a professional translation service in the past, but I have been thinking that there may be college students or former military service professionals in the area that have the skills needed that might be interested. If so, this is your opportunity.

The deadline for contacting me on this will be Wednesday, October 28th, 2009. After that, I will contract through my normal service provider.

Thanks for your time. An actual content-related post will be up later today.

Again.. thanks!

(Who knew reading a blog might net you a job, huh? And they say nobody hires gamers. Networking, baby!)

  1. I only wish I spoke Japanese so I could take this and be able to say I actually got a job on a blog!

Very cool of you to make the offer like this, hopefully someone will benefit from it.
